Nissan Fairlady 370z

Wannabes are unfortunately everywhere today. Especially for autos. We could see our streets filled with pseudo Evolutions and Skylines done by our local tuners, that I would say that they did a good job of botching down the original model to an unrecognizable form. As zth.com members like to call them "Wiralution" or "Wajalution". But not all wannabes are THAT bad. Really. Those with real skills, talent and an eye for perfection could really turn something good, into better.

I gotta say that this is one of the nicest pimped out car I've seen roaming the streets. And moreover, it's a 370z! Something that is still rare today! But is it?

The front looks legit. With the distinctive 370 headlights...

It is undoubtedly a 370z from this angle... But as we move to the sides...

WTH?? A 350's ass??!

So the mask has been revealed...

So it is a 350z after all... A disappointment? Well, come to think that it is not a real 370z is quite a disappointment, but seeing this 350z morphed into this amazingly crafted "370z" is totally the cure! How I hope that all the local tuners could produce such masterpiece that people will ignore that it is a wannabe after all. And I wonder, whose 370z's headlights did this guy took from?

Lamborghini Murcielago

When we look back at the past, we'll be amazed on how time had changed us. From A to B, good to bad, bad to worst, etc... Now, Lamborghini is a name that needs no introduction, where the marque had left trails all over the world with its monstrous V12. The Raging bull is indeed a marvel of today's automotive engineering. But who in the world would have thought that Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini first started off as someone who makes...tractors. Yes, you heard me. Tractors. From tractors to supercars. From clients at first are farmers to wealthy, filthily-rich middle-east oil tycoons and others in the same pay grade. Now that's a change that I REALLY wanted to see em happening. Let's take a look on one of Lamborghini's exquisite and impressive engineering under the name of speed, the Murcielago.

Watcha lookin' at, punk?

These trumpets will play a different kind of orchestra, at a different stage

Powered by a 6.2L V12, this supercar tears the tarmac from 0-100kmh in 3.8 seconds. Of course, by having 572hp in your disposal, such speeds are no longer impossible to achieve. And the speeds are not only contributed by the big, hulking engine. The aerodynamics and the materials used to make the body (carbon fiber, and other lightweight materials) helps by not bogging down this bull with unnecessary weight to carry around.

Aggressive lines and air intakes that resembles a jet fighter.

Owning one of these requires you to clean em everyday to avoid bees from nesting up the honeycomb.

And since it is effingly quick, carbon ceramic brakes are installed, to ensure that you will be at the edge of the cliff, and not in it. And besides, that is only the few materials that could stand the punishing speed and acceleration of the raging bull.

Braking hard while doing 300km/h will cause your eyes to pop out from the sockets.

Going to hyperspace in 3....2....1....

Well, of course, to own one of these, you need to be a multi-million dollar businessman with a rock-hard (or adamantium-hard if I may exaggerate) financial stand as you'll need around RM 1.5 mil just to own it. And that does not include the road tax (found out that it could cost around RM 16k per year), fuel (29L per 100km,yikes!), maintenance,blah3... And the list could go on and on and on... Whatever it is, it sure is a marvel that Mr. Lamborghini had changed his tastes from building tractors to supercars, or else we will be missing something that is totally out of this world. And besides, as a personal note, i'm kinda tired associating the horse as an icon of speed. Seeing the bull, is quite something else, isn't it?

Civic Type-R (FD2)

Not that i'm a lazy bum, im just not in the mood to blabber today. So, I think i'll just let down a few pics from my personal collection. A white Civic Type-R (an original one, i think). FD2 is it? I'm not so sure.. These chassis code had always managed to get me confused. I thought only the Mazdas are using FDs.

Is it me, or white is the only color that fits all cars?

Brembo calipers shyly hides behind the official Type-R wheels, riding on Potenza RE070s. Really reminds me of the NSX.

A lil up close and personal with its menacing front looks.

A good car actually, having able to push out 222 horses out of it's 2.0 liter K20A. And its 4 door! Perfect for the average family guy that wants something that could ferry his wife and two kids, and also around the track as well. The rear spoiler and those Brembo brakes are not just for show, they actually work. Those guys at Honda ain't gonna put those for fun, believe me.

Auto Shows

You know, since i am some kind of a petrol head, i've always dreamt of going to an autoshow event, or maybe a race, which is better...but it seems like luck has never sided me on such occasions!! everytime, and i say again, everytime that i got any type of information regarding an autoshow or something related, is AFTER the event had ended! DAMN!!! why, Mr.Anderson..WHY??

Always wanted to get up close and personal with these rare beasts, like this limited 20-unit Lambo Reventon.

Or even this rare R35 which has been converted to rear-wheel drive to enter the D1GP, it's a sight that I never wanna miss!

Frustrated? you bet..but giving up will just mean that im abandoning my newly found passion, which i do not think will be the case for now... So! i've decided to be a lil more active in the net, and the search paid off! i think..well, at the beginning of it, i think it did.. because i found the date and venue for the Goodyear International Drift Series!! Haha!! "a jackpot!!", that what was in my mind at that time..

My first auto event!! Of attending, of course.. Or is it?

Being all pumped up, all the planning had automatically started in my mind, the transport, funds, foods, and so on...

But then again, you know...Malaysian streets are filled with speed bumps... and holes.so yet again, i encountered another one.bummer.

I could say that the hole is THIS deep, where getting outta it is no easy feat. haha.

Firstly, the venue. at first i thought it was at Melaka International Trade Center, which is not a big deal coz it is accessible via public transport. but a second and detailed glance to the venue shows that it isn't! it is not MITC, its MIMC, or Melaka International Motorsport Circuit! Damnit! some might ask, "So, if its at MIMC, what's the big deal?" Exactly. What's the big deal? its inaccessible by public transport, that's why!! because i could be categorized as a frequent and loyal p.t. user, and without it i'll be totally immobilized...

the other reasons are not a big deal really, its more of a personal issue such as funding and the lack of free time at the particular date. so i could say that it was really a setback for me of not being able to go to the event. but, i believe that my time is going to come rolling to me someday, and i could say to you that when the time comes, to hell that i'm gonna let it slip through!!
so while i'm still in this particular topic, i would like to ask you guys a favor, a really simple one actually...

if you encountered or heard of any upcoming auto events in Malaysia, please do let me know...high priority are being put to events that belongs in the international level, as i really love a twist of variety in the event. but that does not mean im hating local events!!no!! by supporting locally organized events, then our local motor industry could rise to the eyes of the world!
I think that's enough of blabbering for now. Again, if there is any such events, please let me know, aite? till then, cheerio!

Blabber...

Honestly, when I started this blog, i had an image of myself being occupied updating it with numerous posts, filled with interesting stuff that i had never imagined.
Blah.
not even close.
i could not even update it weekly, not even monthly! maybe the mood comes when i feel extremely bored and could not find anything interesting in the internet to entertain the enormous spare time that i had in hand (i have none actually!).
so here i am, trying to come up with a new post in this lovely mid-October, where assignments are fading off, and the exam fever brewing up.. an early call to start opening up those books i might say. but yet, i think one post could not hurt, doesn't it?
no where should i go from here? giving a heads up of what i'm planning to do with this rusty ol' blog? hmmm... that might just as well work..i think..so maybe some of you realize that i have posted a few pics of automotives, where even i myself are in the state of unsureness of whether it is attractive, or just a simple jpeg for you guys. but to me, i just got to say that i LOVE 'em!
i never thought that i will ever have the slightest interest in photography! really! while im still in this topic, i would like to thank those that had whether directly or indirectly got me into this newly-discovered hobby that had me indulging in it. a million thanks to you guys, you ROCK!!
so at this newbie-level that im still in for the moment, i can say that most of my pics are not so eye-popping or even appealing for some...since i have a thing with cars, you'd expect more of them to come in the time being. i'll try my best to post them as frequent as i could, if i have any subjects to shoot on to.
since i could be categorized as "freelance"( that's what i think i might be called), i don't really get a call for a photoshoot of any kind. i just shoot anything that i feel.....how do you put this..."shootworthy". heh. i am really starting to make a lot of new terms here. never mind..
well, i could say that what i mentioned earlier will be the ones that's going to fill up this blog! which i really hope that i will get a lot o subjects to shoot, or else it will again start to get rusty, and i don't think that i have enough WD40 to shove them off..
let's just hope that i'll have the strength for the next post tomorrow..haha..
til then, cheerio!
