2011 AUTOBACS SUPER GT - Car Lineup

The 4th round of Super GT 2011 is only moments away from launching itself into full speed at Sportsland Sugo, which is on the 30th and 31st July 2011. With a track length of 3.704256 km, it has a combination of high-speed straights and tight bends to challenge both the drivers and their machines. Since we are only halfway throughout the series, which team or driver are you rooting for on this year’s Super GT event? Is it the previous victors of round 3 who had dominated Sepang recently, or do you have some other team in mind? If you are still undecided, we are in the same boat, unfortunately. Not to worry though, let’s just pick one or two from these great Grand Tourers and drivers and wish them the best of luck for the podium!

GT500

The Weider HSV-010 had a good run in Sepang last month. Will it be able to repeat the same feat this time?

Eneos Sustina SC430

Will the ARTA HSV-010 under the Drift King’s tutelage emerge victorious? We will soon find out…

The CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R had quite a bad run on the last round. They really need to take something out of their sleeves to turn the tables around.

The HSV-010s are proving themselves well as podium-grabbers, as the KEIHIN’s secured the 3rd place last round.

WedsSport ADVAN SC430

NISMO’s entry into the race, the MOTUL AUTECH GT-R proving what Nissan has in store for the fans today.

Another representative from the Godzilla breed, the ADVAN KONDO GT-R.

EPSON HSV-010

D’STATION KeePer SC430

The PETRONAS TOM’S SC430 having a steady run so far, proving that the SC430 still has its punch.

ZENT CERUMO SC430

DENSO SARD SC430

The S Road MOLA GT-R showed a good run in the last race, gaining 2nd in the podium.

RAYBRIG HSV-010

GT300

Looking more like a Le Mans racer rather than a Grand Tourer, the Evangelion RT TEST-01 IM.JIHAN SHIDEN is absolutely the most unique looking car in the whole race.

Though challenged by its more fearsome European rivals like the Ferrari or Porsche, the HATSUNEMIKU GOODSMILE BMW Z4 emerged victorious during their stint in Sepang.

Mach GoGoGo Syaken RD320R

The JIMGAINER DIXCEL DUNLOP 458 gave a non-stop challenge to the victor during the last leg of the race. Will it be able to collect the necessary points to remain on top of the scoreboard?

Plagued by technical difficulties, the SG CHANGI IS350 was forced to retire during its 22nd lap; at the main straight! Aiming for the chequered flag this time?

R’Qs Vemac 350R

ZENT Porsche RSR

Verity TAISAN Porsche

The older sister of the 458, the PACIFIC NAC IKAMUSUME Ferrari F430 proves that it is still a worthy opponent.

In a ground breaking moment, the HASEPRO MA IWASAKI apr Corolla is one of the 4-door sedans that had make it into the series.

HANKOOK Porsche

ARTA Garaiya

Though might not be as good looking as the previous CUSCO Impreza, the R&D SPORT LEGACY B4 has the legs to run alongside its GT300 rivals.

Another European entrance, the triple a Vantage GT2 needs to come up with something to remain in the top 3 of the scoreboard.

ThunderAsia MT900M

Corolla Axio apr GT

JLOC Lamborghini RG-3 (86)

RIRE Lamborghini RG-3

JLOC Lamborghini RG-3 (88)

With this great line up, it is understandable why it is quite hard to pick out a favorite. Nevertheless, even if you decide not to pick one, it is not a crime, as long as we enjoy the fastest Grand Touring race in the world!
